what you receive: a download link to a PDF and visual aid video (.mov format) with voiceover to guide you through making your own minimal abundance set!

as seen here:  https://www.tiktok.com/@reese.cycled/video/7120709581864521006?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=6977809242082248197

I lead you through what measurements you'll need and how to draft the pattern (the shapes are easy peasy - don't sweat it). I cover each step with photos and brief video footage, and provide advice for what I like to do from an upcycling perspective.

skill level: beginner/intermediate. I would reccomend having "the basics" down, but I believe if you can successfully hem a skirt and insert some elastic, you can make this set!

I HIGHLY encourage using a secondhand bedsheet (the planet will love you!), but the fabric choice is ultimately up to you :)

Supplies:

  • Sewing machine + thread

  • Scissors

  • Tape measure

  • Seam ripper (just in case!)

  • ⅜ inch elastic (my preference)

  • ¾ inch elastic (my preference)

  • Eyelets (6 minimum - I like ¼ inch, but adjust to preference!) and tools (I use a setter, anvil, and a hammer - the setter and the anvil come in kits along with the eyelets!)

  • Ribbon/spaghetti cord/etc. that matches your fabric for your straps/corset ribbon. I recommend at least 4 yards.

  • Serger/overlock machine*

  • Clothes pins*

  • Zip ties or boning*

*optional but very helpful!
