SIZING
This tutorial is for a one size adjustable garment. The final garment will result in cups that are around 6" wide (8" at the widest cup measurement) and around a 17" wide bodice with an open back. I recommend this tutorial for sizes XS/S/M; please check back later for an extended size option as we workshop a curve variation of this design.
SKILL LEVEL
Adventurous beginner, intermediate
PROJECT TIME
1-3 hours, varying based on experience
NECESSARY SUPPLIES
6 standard width, good condition ties (Skinny or narrow ties not recommended). All ties should be very close to the same size/width with little variance.
Fabric scissors
Pins
Iron + ironing board
Sewing machine
Thread with color match(es) for top stitching
Medium to heavyweight material needle (I use 90/14)
Seam ripper (just in case!)
RECOMMENDED SUPPLIES
Serger/overlock machine (if you do not have one, use a zigzag stitch in place of overlocking.)
Grid cutting mat with measurements - highly recommended; will make all of the measuring and checking symmetry MUCH easier! But can be done with other standard measuring tools
